Aurora

Aurora Aksnes is a Norwegian Singer and Songwriter. She was born in Stavanger on the 15th of June 1996. Her professional name is Aurora. Her name may be also stylized by the name AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15th, 2015 and was praised by the music blogosphere as well as media. She has recorded several high-profile song covers, including Half the World Away (by the band Oasis) to accompany John Lewis' Christmas advert as well as Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole) The songs have been widely praised. Katy Perry's praise for her song Runaway via a blog post brought the singer additional recognition. Celebrate her special day. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memories involve finding the piano within her attic, then becoming fascinated with the sounds the instrument produced. Parents May-Britt as well as Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to explore music and not just as a career or hobby but as a way to develop. She began writing lyrics of her own. She credits renowned composers Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in her influences, along with a love for Bjork's style. Her mother encouraged her to perform her music in front of the public, but not so that she could become famous but rather make others aware of how significant their voices are and how they can contribute to the world. At age 6 she began to learn the piano. At age nine, she when she began to write songs. She didn't tell her family about her musical journey until she was fourteen. Aurora was not a dream of her childhood. The singer says that she simply likes to compose songs. According to her, music is her favourite way to express her feelings about anything.
